NBC News is hosting the third Republican Presidential Debate. But unlike the first or second debates, which aired on Fox News, NBC is not carrying the debate on its cable channels MSNBC or CNBC. Instead, the two-hour debate will air on the main NBC network beginning at 8pm ET. NBC Nightly News anchor Lester Holt and Meet the Press moderator Kristen Welker will moderate the debate, alongside conservative commentator Hugh Hewitt of The Hugh Hewitt Show on Salem Radio Network. The debate will be held in Miami at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County.

Which Candidates Will Appear at the Third Republican Debate?

As of this writing, the Republican National Committee (RNC), which is responsible for setting the debate rules, has not released the names of the candidates who have qualified for the third debate. However, it is expected that at least five candidates will have met the qualifications: reaching 4% in two approved national polls and garnering at least 70,000 unique donors. Those candidates are:

Former Vice President Mike Pence, who appeared at the first two debates, suspended his campaign last week and will not participate in Wednesday’s debate.

No. After skipping the first two Republican debates, Trump called on the RNC to cancel the remaining debates and “refocus its manpower” on defeating the presumptive Democratic candidate, President Joe Biden. Trump, who faces a total of 91 felony charges amidst his four criminal cases, is expected to testify on Monday at his fraud trial in New York.
