Here Are All the New Sports Coming To USA Network in 2022
Premier League soccer has a new home on USA Network in 2022, along with many other sports. Here's a look at what to expect.
NBCSN may be crossing the finish line on New Year’s Eve, but its sports content is racing to a new channel.
USA Network will be the new home of the English Premier League soccer, select NASCAR and PGA events, the Olympics, and much more in 2022. Meanwhile, NBCSN will cease operations on New Year’s Day.
The new slate of sports on USA Network is part of a larger rebrand of the longtime cable TV staple. In addition to more sports content, USA Network will continue to air a mix of popular WWE shows like Monday Night Raw and NXT, reality programming, syndicated shows, licensed movies, and original content.
“USA has always been home to big, iconic characters – on reality shows like Chrisley Knows Best, premium scripted dramas like Chucky and The Sinner, and of course the high-octane energy of our WWE personalities – and larger-than-life pro athletes will fit right in,” Frances Berwick, Entertainment Networks, NBCUniversal Television & Streaming, said in a recent press release. “We expect this expansion of our live sports offering will both engage existing fans and bring in new communities to USA, further cementing the network as a top destination for the best and broadest entertainment in all of its many forms.”
Although a recent surge in COVID cases could lead to postponements, USA Network is planning to kick off its coverage of Premier League soccer with a New Year’s Day triple-header. First up, Arsenal hosts defending champions Manchester City at 7:30am ET. That’s followed by Watford taking on Tottenham Hotspur at 10:30am ET, and finally Crystal Palace vs. West Ham at 12:30pm ET.
Additional NBC Sports programming coming to USA Network in 2022 includes:
- Atlantic 10 basketball
- Horse Racing
- IMSA
- INDYCAR: Two races
- Monster Jam
- NASCAR: Cup and Xfinity Series races
- Olympic sports
- Supercross
