Colorado vs Oregon: How to Watch and What to Expect

With a trip to #10 Oregon, Deion Sanders and #19 Colorado faces their biggest test of the season. Here's how to stream the game with Sling.

The Colorado Buffaloes have been the talk of the college football and sports community. After hosting FOX’s Big Noon Kickoff, ESPN’s College GameDay, 60 minutes, and multiple other sports talk shows in Boulder last week, the Buffs narrowly escaped with a 43-35 double overtime victory over in-state rival Colorado State. Now Coach Prime and the Buffs will travel to Eugene to take on the 10th-ranked Oregon Ducks, in a game most are calling a ‘true barometer’ test. The Ducks are 21.5 point favorites according to most sports books, and the Buffs lost one of their best players, two-way star Travis Hunter, to injury. We asked a couple of CU and Oregon diehards (and Sling employees) to share their perspective on this must watch Pac-12 battle. Here is what to expect and how to watch Colorado vs Oregon on Sling TV.

What Has to Happen For Oregon To Win This Game?

Colorado POV: The Ducks just need to finish drives and avoid any unnecessary mistakes. The Buffs defense has shown they will give up a ton of yards, but have relied on havoc plays and turnovers to stay in games. If the Ducks stay committed to the run, they’ll get a couple gash plays opening up the pass even more.

Oregon POV: Both teams have high-powered offensive attacks and could easily turn this game into a shootout. The Ducks will give themselves a great chance to defeat the Buffaloes by continuing to protect the football. In their first three games of the season, Oregon has yet to commit a turnover, while Colorado is one of the nation's leaders in creating turnovers.

What Has to Happen For Colorado To Win This Game?

Colorado POV: Protect Shedeur Sanders and continue to cause turnovers. Colorado had two red zone interceptions vs TCU, four total turnovers vs Nebraska and another four turnovers vs CSU (three of which were in the Red Zone). They can survive giving up 40 points if they give Shedeur enough possessions to keep pace with Oregon.

Oregon POV: The Buffaloes will turn to their depth chart to step in and step up, as Travis Hunter, one of the country's most prolific players, will be sidelined this week. With elevated play, Colorado must limit the number of possessions Oregon has and restrict them to field goals in the red zone.

Who is the biggest X factor in this game?

Colorado POV: Shedeur Sanders is the obvious choice, but I think the biggest X-factor will be the Buffs offensive line. The team had to plug in a true freshman center last week, and Shedeur took some hits for the first time this season. If that unit can give #2 time, and finally get a run game going, it’ll be a game-changer.

Oregon POV: The battle of the Heisman hopefuls: Bo Nix vs. Shedeur Sanders. With this matchup, we can expect the best — precision passes, deep throws, and elite scrambles. These two quarterbacks will make all the difference for their teams to come out on top.

What is your prediction?

Colorado POV: This thing is going to be high flying. 44-41 Buffs with game-ending turnover in the red zone.

Oregon POV: Old fashion shoot-out. 49-45 Ducks.
