Watch Free International TV with Sling Freestream
Delivering live and on-demand international channels, Sling Freestream offers high-quality programming in 20+ languages and dialects.
With so many streaming services available for a monthly subscription fee, consumers have started to wonder if all entertainment will soon come with a price tag – especially if their favorite programming is sourced from other countries.
Enter Sling Freestream. Back in February, streaming-service pioneer Sling TV launched its free advertising-supported-streaming television service (FAST): Sling Freestream. The idea? To offer popular entertainment to their viewers, regardless of their unique preferences or budget (or lack thereof).
What Is Sling Freestream?
If you love television, you’ll love Sling Freestream. Delivering both live TV and on-demand entertainment, this free service now offers more than 400 domestic channels of live news, sports and popular shows, as well as more than 40,000 on-demand shows and movies. Catering to a diverse range of viewers – including international and Latino audiences – anyone across the U.S. can access Sling Freestream using the Sling app on numerous devices, including Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Samsung, LG, Vizio, Comcast, XBOX, Desktop Browser, Google/Android TVs and Android Mobile.
Since its launch, Sling Freestream’s international channels have grown to include more than 100 shows streamed in more than 16 languages and dialects from across Europe, South Asia, East Asia, the Arabic region and Brazil.
International offerings run the gamut from news and sports to general programming and spiritual channels to movies and music, making it easy to find free entertainment you’ll love. Popular channels include AajTak International, Willow Xtra, Zona TUDN, ARY News, France24, beIN SPORTS XTRA, SonyKal, Noticias Univision 24/7, TVP World, Al Jazeera English and Al Arabiya.
And if you think that sounds impressive, just wait. Sling Freestream has only been available for three months so far, and Sling has big growth planned for its new service. With many more international channels slated to launch by the end of June, international users can expect to enjoy Freestream in a similar way to how they once enjoyed basic channels from back home – tuning into their local networks without any payment obligations. Once again, television has become simple and easy.
Is Sling Freestream Actually Free?
Freestream is so free that you don’t even need to enter your credit card information or sign up for an account to tune in – though signing up for a free account come with a few perks, including such personalized features as bookmarking your favorite channels, creating watchlists, stopping and starting on-demand programs, and accessing parental controls. Creating a free account will also ensure your preferences are saved, in case you want to tune in on more than one device.
Seamless Streaming Experience
As a pioneer in the streaming-service industry, Sling has found great success in giving its users a customizable-viewing experience – and the introduction of Freestream is yet another tool for customization.
If you do end up wanting more – more shows, more channels, more features – Sling is ready with a wide selection of international packages to choose from, ranging from robust international subscriptions to the niche World Sports and Cricket packages. More U.S. entertainment is also available through the Sling Orange and Sling Blue packages.
