Struggle Meals 100th Episode Celebration
Thur., Nov. 30-Sun., Dec. 3
Forget fancy food; with a little creativity, the best dishes can come from the most common items and ingredients. That’s the underlying philosophy of Tastemade’s breakout hit Struggle Meals, which is celebrating its 100th episode at the end of the month with a three-day marathon and special. Beginning at 6am ET on Thursday, Nov. 30, Tastemade will air a marathon of seasons 1, 3, and 9, culminating in the premiere of the show’s 100th episode special at 7pm ET. Tastemade promises that the special will feature “memorable moments, favorite recipes, bloopers and cooking mishaps,” along with behind-the-scenes content and “a special surprise guest.” The next day, fans can rewatch every episode of the show with a three-day marathon beginning at 6am on Friday, Dec. 1.

From Scratch
New episodes premiere throughout November
Even if you eat all organic foods, there’s often a disconnect between the meals we eat and its original source. On the Tastemade original From Scratch, host David Moscow—best known for playing the young version of Tom Hanks’ character in the 1988 classic Big—travels the world to connect with local chefs and replicate their signature recipes in an attempt to demystify the farm-to-table process. The show’s title is not used trivially: a recent New Mexico-set episode finds Moscow milking the goats he uses to make cheese and hunting buffalo (humanely) for its meat. At a time when much of our food is processed and prepackaged, From Scratch is both enlightening and inspiring.

Luke Nguyen’s India
New series premieres Mon., Nov. 20 at 6pm ET
Chef Luke Nguyen is something like Australia’s version of Anthony Bourdain, a well-known and successful chef who’s equally passionate about street-level food tourism. After first focusing on Vietnam—which his family fled when he was an infant—Nguyen continued his culinary explorations with shows exploring the cuisine along the Mekong river, and in England and France. On Nov. 19-20, Tastemade will feature a marathon of several of these series, leading into the premiere of his new show Luke Nguyen's India, “where exploration and gastronomy intertwine in a celebration of all that India has to offer.”
