How to Watch Lucky Hank for Free With Sling Freestream
In AMC’s new show Lucky Hank, it’s hard to tell if Bob Odenkirk is kidding.
In part, that’s due to the baggage the audience itself brings to the show. From his first big break as a writer on Saturday Night Live 35 years ago through his Emmy-nominated run as the smart-mouthed lawyer Saul Goodman on Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul, Odenkirk has covered a lot of creative territory, making him difficult to pin down in a way that his Mr. Show co-star David Cross is not. But in Lucky Hank, Odenkirk’s character is heavy with ambivalence – much to the frustration of those around him.
Take, for instance, a scene in which his character Hank is facing a serious professional reprimand for his behavior toward a student. When given the opportunity to defend himself, Hank caustically summarizes the plot of the Count of Monte Cristo and plops back down to his seat. The audience is deeply amused; his fellow professors, not so much.
