Home For Christmas: HGTV and Food Network Holiday Wrap Up

HGTV and Food Network are about to stuff your stockings (and bellies) with Christmas content. Here's what to watch.

HGTV and Food Network are bringing you the comforts of being home for the holidays, no matter where you actually find yourself.

The popular channels have already begun airing their Christmas programming, and they’ll be dishing up a feast of holiday originals before Santa's sleigh returns to the North Pole. With more than a dozen shows premiering before Christmas day, Food Network and HGTV will stuff your TV turkey with enough Christmas and Thanksgiving content to leave you with leftovers into the new year.

Holiday Baking Championship

Holiday Baking Championship: Gingerbread Showdown

Jesse Palmer hosts as three teams of gingerbreaders and baking assistants take on gingerbread builds based on a theme. The gingerbread-obsessed artists also face baking twists that can make or break their chances at the prize worth $10,000.”

My Lottery Dream Home: David’s Holiday Extravaganza

"David Bromstad, star of HGTV’s My Lottery Dream Home, has a lot to celebrate this holiday season. He just moved into his new Orlando, Florida, home and has recruited serious reinforcements to help him pull off an over-the-top winter celebration. Decorating together for the first time, David and his sisters, Dyonne and Dynelle, will draw inspiration from their Scandinavian heritage to transform the home with an astonishing 70 decorated indoor trees, dozens of cheerful gnomes and rustic faux wood beams. They even repurpose gift bags and boxes to create a do-it-yourself advent calendar on the staircase. Buddy Valastro and Duff Goldman come together for a special competition celebrating the winter holiday season. They choose a different theme for each battle and have just 20 hours to work with their talented teams to create their finished masterpieces. Four esteemed pastry chefs join the teams in their bakeries to judge the cakes: Gesine Prado and Elizabeth Falkner in Jersey City with Buddy and Stephanie Boswell and Valerie Gordon in Los Angeles with Duff. In the end, the overall winner is awarded $25,000 for the charity of their choice.”

Home Town: Ben's Holiday Workshop

“In Home Town: Ben's Workshop, master woodworker Ben Napier shares his expertise in craftsmanship and carpentry with celebrity guests who help him build iconic wood projects at his workshop in Laurel, Mississippi. Now in the holiday-themed special, Home Town: Ben’s Holiday Workshop, Ben will get holly jolly when he welcomes father-daughter duo Captain Sig and Mandy Hansen from Discovery Channel’s Deadliest Catch to make special wood creations just in time for Christmas, including a brand new mantle for the workshop that honors the Hansens’ Norwegian heritage. Mandy also will work with Ben’s wife and Home Town co-star Erin Napier to give the shop a seasonal overhaul.
