The revenge anime 'Ninja Kamui' is another big hit for Adult Swim. Ahead of the season one finale, here's how to watch it with Sling TV.

Vengeance. Nothing else can spark a great anime like the burning need to avenge what has been lost. In this vein, Ninja Kamui offers bloodshed, mystery and excitement in every episode, making it one of the best shows of 2024. With the season one finale coming up Sunday, March 31 at midnight (aka, late night Saturday) on Adult Swim, here’s a look at the show’s first season and what to expect from the finale.

Let’s start by saying this IS NOT a family friendly show. We’re talking Game of Thrones-level violence from the first episode, in which the wife and child of the titular ninja Higan are brutally ambushed and murdered. Higan himself sustains fatal injuries but returns to life with a new determination to end what’s left of his former ninja clan.

We later discover that Higan and his wife, along with a handful of other ninjas, were deemed exiles who are now being hunted one-by-one. The Organization sold out, betraying the ninja code and becoming nothing more than hitmen for a global tech company known as Auza.

Equipped with high-tech weaponry and empowered by sadistic leaders, Higan must take down old friends and foes. However, he is not alone. With help from an FBI old-timer and an insider within The Organization, Higan may finally have a path to exact his revenge.

If we are being honest, we have doubts that Ninja Kamui’s 23-minute run time will be enough to bring the various elements of the story to a satisfying conclusion. So where will the season leave off?

One thing we can count on is an epic battle. With the integration between Higan and his Kamui – an armored suit that links with a ninja’s subconscious – we can expect he will be taking on the best The Organization has to offer: his former friend and classmate Kai. But a season finale isn't complete without some type of major twist. What will it be? An unexpected death? A major betrayal? A change of heart?
