Auto Record Remembers to Record Games So You Don't Have To

In the midst of March's Madness, Sling's new Auto Record feature will automatically DVR all the biggest games. Here are all the details.

One of the great joys of NCAA® March Madness® is turning your office cubicle into a sports cave during working hours. Sadly, not everyone can partake in this honored tradition. Those poor, pitiable souls (surgeons, lawyers, long haul truckers) are exactly who we had in mind when we created the newest feature for Sling TV: Auto Record.

Like other recent product launches for Arcade and Rewards, Auto Record is exactly what it sounds like: DVR that records sports automatically, without setting it in advance, and without using up any additional DVR storage you have available. Because sports storage is separate from the 200 hours of DVR recordings available to those who pay for DVR Plus ($5/mo for 200 hours of storage), you don’t need to worry about Auto Record deleting that old recording of a movie or show you swear you’ll get around to watching someday. Even better, Auto Record recordings will be available to watch for three days after airing, giving you extra time to watch your favorite teams and sports.

Now available for Sling subscribers with DVR Plus, we timed the launch of this product specifically for the NCAA Tournaments, where odd game hours and a frenetic schedule can lead to memory lapses or confusion about what you’re recording. With Auto Record, there’s no need to worry about any of that – you have access to Watch Past Games within your Sling plan. As upcoming professional and college sports events start airing, they will automatically be saved for three days. Enable Auto Record and check back here for the latest sports events once they start airing. Watch on your time and fast forward the ads!

So whether you’re unable to watch NCAA Tournament games live due to your unfortunate “professional obligations,” or you just want to get back lost time by skipping commercials, be sure to upgrade your Sling subscription to DVR Plus with Auto Record. To subscribe to Sling, use the link below, and be sure to add DVR Plus with Auto Record and 200 hours of storage at checkout – your first month is free!
