Error Code 8-638994
Error 8-638994 is specific to DVR content, and may be received when attempting to play back a recording for the first time. We're currently working on a permanent fix for this error, but as a workaround, waiting up to 20 minutes to try and play your recording again can resolve the issue.

Sometimes there is just a bug in the system and it needs a chance to reset. Give it 10 to 20 minutes, and then try again.
Most interruptions in streaming are temporary, but relaunching the Sling TV app or restarting your streaming device will often resolve temporary glitches.
If you’re unable to resolve the error using the other steps listed above, please take note of the following information before contacting us:
When the error occurred (when selecting a show, in the middle of watching, etc.)
What type of program you were watching (live, on-demand, DVR recording)
What device you were using (browser, mobile app, streaming device)
